Associate Provost’s Office, Director of Technical Training

Lisa Scranton is a lifelong resident of West Haven and has worked at the University of New Haven since 2003 in eight different departments. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University, and has served as chair of the Administrative Staff Council for six years. Lisa is also a proud parent of two University of New Haven students. Her children both work on campus, along with several other family members.

What fuels your passion for your daily work at the University of New Haven?
I believe that our students and faculty and staff should have the best experience possible at the University. Every day, I think about how I can continue to contribute to the University, and I incorporate those new objectives within my job. By training employees to fully use the technology we have on campus and online, I can help their jobs become easier, and I can enhance the learning experience of our students. I know I’m making a difference, even if it seems indirect at first glance.

What inspires you to “Fuel the Innovation” within the University?
I give because I want to help the University always move forward. Giving back lets us build a stronger community. It not only supports better educational outcomes for students, it also allows us to offer employees more resources and a productive work environment as well.
