What fuels your passion for your daily work at the University of New Haven?

The students! Giving them opportunities to get a firsthand look at the field of engineering, especially through research and off-campus trips, is very rewarding. When I give them experiences outside of the classroom, I see a spark lit in my students that motivates them to be ambitious and hard working in their studies, preparing them to be great employees once they begin their careers.

What inspires you to “Fuel the Innovation” within the University?

When I attended the 2016 Scholarship Ball, I was very moved by the generosity of the guests as they made gifts to support the Charger Challenge, so I made a gift myself! I know that support given to the University impacts each student I see in my classes. When the community gives back to the University, students have access to financial aid and experiential resources they might not have had otherwise.
